BigRep Returns to Private Ownership and Launches ALTRA 670: Delisting Follows 45% Revenue Growth

Berlin, October 2026 – BigRep GmbH, a leading provider of large-format industrial solutions for additive manufacturing, is returning to private ownership after approximately two years as a publicly traded company. Shareholders have approved a corresponding simplification of the company's structure. BigRep GmbH is now owned by three existing major investors: Koehler Invest GmbH, DeKrassny GmbH, and Hage Holding GmbH.

"Our initial public offering two years ago was based on the expectation of rapid market acceleration in additive manufacturing, an assumption that proved more optimistic than the market ultimately allowed," said Thomas Janics-Jakomini, CEO of BigRep GmbH. "Returning to private ownership allows us to refocus our resources on product development and growth."

The three majority owners are family-owned companies that have supported BigRep as investors for years and share a long-term conviction in the future of industrial additive manufacturing.

45% Revenue Growth and Technological Realignment

Since taking office as CEO in November 2024, Janics-Jakomini has driven technology initiatives, expanded BigRep’s product portfolio, and restructured operational processes resulting in revenue growth of approximately 45% over the past twelve months. All printers are now manufactured at BigRep's own facility in Austria, a move that gives the company full control over its supply chain and significantly greater flexibility in production and delivery.

This past April BigRep launched the ONE.5X, a significantly more automated evolution of the ONE.5 capable of processing a wider range of materials. This complements other products in the portfolio such as the VIIO 250, a highly automated large-scale printer with the Infinity Box for continuous printing, as well as the high-performance IPSO 105 and ALTRA 280, developed for applications in critical industrial sectors such as automotive and defense. To further build out their portfolio of large, industrial printers, BigRep has developed strategic technology partnerships with Massive Dimension (for pellet extrusion) and Endless Industries (for continuous fiber reinforcement).

New 3D Printer for Large Parts and Technical Polymers

BigRep introduces the new ALTRA 670, now available for order worldwide. The machine builds on the proven platform of the ALTRA 280 (servo motors, ball screw drive, industrial control system) and features a larger build volume of 1200 × 700 × 800 mm (LxWxH). The build chamber and print bed achieve temperatures up to 140°C with dual DSX extruders heating up to 450°C, enabling the processing of high-grade polycarbonate and other high-performance engineering polymers. The ALTRA 670 is designed for applications demanding large parts with technical polymers and reliable production. First-series units are already in production with initial customer deliveries expected by the end of Q1 in 2027.

Continued Commitment to Transparency and Customer Security

As part of its overall business strategy, BigRep remains firmly committed to trustworthy and secure manufacturing. Across all platforms, the company continues to rely exclusively on control systems manufactured in the West and complies with the strict cybersecurity standards of the EU's new Machinery Directive. BigRep’s latest product, software, and service offerings reflect its comprehensive commitment to secure, traceable supply chains, particularly for customers in the defense, aerospace, and other sensitive sectors.
