A pre-targeted workstation can be used on smaller objects for the ultimate speed in setup, yet the advantage gained by targeting the part is that scanning can be done in a dynamic environment without loss of accuracy. For situations where components must be scanned while remaining installed, we are no longer required to halt the tasks of other maintenance crews, as part movement and vibration no longer affects our ability to gather data…truly a shop-floor metrology solution.
