The equipment for 3d Scanning has been around for a couple of decades, but has not been so prominent in the news up until recently, and it is having quite the impact at the moment. It seems that every single day there are more and more stories brought to the forefront that includes three-dimensional technologies in some form or measure.
It is okay if you don’t know what this type of technology is and exactly what it is capable of creating. Due to the astronomical pricing in the past acquiring the services of 3d printing and scanning was usually outsourced and could only be done by larger companies with higher financial status.
This type of technology has burst onto the scene and is causing frenzy wherever it is reported about. There is no doubt it has successfully shaped our past and taken us to where we are today in terms of being technologically advanced. However, it is still in its early stages of advancement, three-dimensional technologies has the capabilities to shape our future as well; a future that is limited only by the user’s resourcefulness.
In the future, we will be able to look back and say, “I was there,” when 3d scanning and printing became a phenomenon. It truly blows the mind to think of how we will continue to use this technology, improve on it, and continue to shape the future.
